Lying comes all to naturally, fortunately for him, and unfortunately for others. Arthur is also a wasteful sort, unused to conserving resources after a life that, while not rich, was stable enough so that he never had to worry for food or other necessities. He does appreciate that which he is given however, knowing how easily it could have been different had he not been adopted by the Wildes.
Arthur is making an honest attempt to curb his more violent tendencies these days, the ones that he fears are genetically passed down from his biological father. He hopes to make up for the harmful things he's done in the past, and prove to others that he isn't just the son of his real, murderer, dad. Sure, many would consider he himself a criminal, but steals from nobody who can't afford it, or from those who deserve it, and he's careful.
His humor lies mostly in the sarcasm department, and occasionally brushes against the grim and crude, depending on his audience. He likes to tease and make jokes, and friends have to be able to take it.

✘ Spider-like PokemonOVERALL PERSONALITY: Arthur has always been self confident and fearless, without being stupidly rash and arrogant. He plans things out before he takes a serious risk, if there is any chance of things going badly. Not that a little fear in his life wouldn't have done him soon good perhaps. If he'd feared the consequences of his activities before, he might not now have a juvenile record that matches his bio-dad's. Arthur strives for Independence in everything he does, feeling that it is better to do it himself and learn a new skill, or perfect an old one, than let someone else do it for him. He is remarkably rebellious and stubborn to those in authority who might try to order him around. His own mistakes in the past have made him an understanding person for the mistakes of others, so he's very forgiving as long as the person who made the mistake makes the attempt to fix it. Arthur is a very open-minded individual, it was the way he was raised, without any parents filling his head with religious nonsense, and he doesn't understand those who do believe in gods. Confidence and loyalty are two of the most important things he looks for in fellows. The timid are pitied and avoided if possible.
