It wasn't often the the woman ventured off of her ship, especially if it wasn't in some way profiting her. Now that Shae's hair was whipping about in the wild wind she was almost regretting that she did in the first place. There was no going back on it now, not that it was too bad, the was something quite magical about the place. It was almost as if the wind was singing to her as she made her way through the valley. Being here was almost too calming, she itched to do something, a battle perhaps? The woman scoffed looking about as if trying to spot something she could attack. Pulling back her hair she barely made out the figure of what looked like a man standing in the distance. It was hard to make anything out with her hair whipping her in the face but she was pretty sure.
Starting in the direction of the man Shae pulled a pokeball from her purse and released and very agressive looking arcanine. "Look sharp Rafe, time for some fun," the woman told her pokemon in a cool voice as the distance between the two humans grew shorter.

Harley watched as his Scrafty took a few swings at the rock in front of him, each smash of his knuckles into the stone making it crack a little more. Despite being such a goof off, when time came to train, Tomberlin would do everything he could to make himself stronger -- he'd go as far as to make his knuckles bleed. He'd done it in the past, he'd do it again. Tomberlin finally stopped, panting a little and resting his hands on the rock. It had a few solid cracks in it, which made Harley grin and ruffle the Scrafty's hair. "Good job, aye? You deserve a rest... I hear someone comin' anyway."
He turned, only to come face to face with a new woman before him. With a smirk, he tilted his head to the side and raised an eyebrow at her Arcanine. The thing looked really aggressive... "So, I'll just guess that I know what ya want." With that, he pulled out a ball of his own, sending out his Samurott, Ducati. The intimidating water type swung his head from side to side, pawing at the ground and staring heatedly at the Arcanine. "Shall I bother with your name before we get started, then?~ Th'name's Harley, I doubt you'll forget it."

As the woman got closer the man seemed to notice her, good at least that would be less work on her part. He was sharp enough to know that she was itching for a battle, ever introduced himself, how charming. Shae did a mock curtsy as the man let out his water type, oh that would not be good. "Oh I doubt that, it shall be my name that you remember," Shae smirked to herself. "Shae Merrick." Without any more though to do with conversing Shae quickly went to work, plotting over what might be the best point of entry. Quickly deciding that she was a pirate and there was no need for her to play fair, Shae tossed out another pokeball releasing her dragonair, Paisley.
"Alright boys, lets show them what we got," Shae didn't order her pokemon to do anything but waved her hand slightly. Paisley took off to the side as if to try and flank the samurott, dashing close the dragon pokemon attempted a SHOCKWAVE. Standing still very near Shae's side, Rafe assisted Paisley with a SNARL.

He couldn't help but chuckle lightly at the mock curtsy -- she was spunky, at least. This battle should be interesting to say the least. He watched her take out another ball, sending out a dragonair. "Ah, fine, fine." Reaching into his pocket, he grabbed a pokeball himself. He motioned for Tomberlin to stay back -- there was no need for him to come out just yet. He'd save him for later. Out came Scorpa, his Gengar -- the creature floated menacingly near the Dragonair before laughing before falling back next to Harley. He gathered his energy and suddenly materialized a large push pin in front of him. He slammed the pin into his chest, and a black energy surrounded the dragonair -- the curse would hopefully sap the dragon of energy.
Harley smirked a little as the dragon type sent out a shock wave to Ducati. He winced but stood firm, tossing his head a little and letting out a bellow. "A'ight, hang in there, Ducati. Go ahead, do your thing." Ducati sprayed a tiny bit of water on the ground before it began to grow exponentially until it became a wave. Lifting himself up on it, he launched the surf at both of his opponents, just in time for the snarl to land a direct hit on him. He winced after his attack was finished, feeling weaker. Har frowned a bit -- his special attack would be low now... that wasn't good. He turned over to Scorpa, only to see him on the ground. The snarl attack coupled with his sacrifice made him faint... "Aye, you're better than I thought you'd be," he said to Shae with a nod and a wink. He called his Gengar back, turning again to see what she would do next.

Shae smirked when the gengar fell, sure the curse meant that Paisley would lose some health here and there but is wasn't anything they couldn't handle. The ony thing that worried her was the water type, it was obviously building up for a very big mood. She was happy that Rafe had managed to snarl at the pokemon first if it was attempting a special move. But of course it was, surf, but luckily the type advantage wasn't enough. The water crashed down on both of Shae's pokemon, Paisley took it like a champ, shaking her head as the water type move on did half damage.
Rafe on the other hand wasn't so cocky, shaking slightly, the arcanine toppled over and lay on the ground. "If seems I have underestimated you as well," Shae admitted pulling out another pokeball and releasing her pidgeot.
"Alright Noah," to woman nodded and the bird flew up into the air high enough to be out of sight, the bird readied to use FLY. Looking back at her dragonair Shae quickly calculated the situation. "Paisley, rush," the dragon obeyed throwing back his head before charging at the water type with DRAGON RUSH.

Harley crossed his arms and grinned as she spoke, glad for the returning compliment. With a bit of a nod, he once again looked at Tomberlin and held out a hand. "Soon, you'll get your turn soon." He turned back to the battle, watching her send out a fierce looking Pidgeot. He smiled a little -- h had always loved bird types and their majesty. This probably called for a second flyer. Reaching onto his belt, he pulled out his Crobat's ball and sent her out. "All right, Solex, let's go." She screeched and flapped her four wings, watching the Pidgeot soar into the air before following after it in her own fly.
Meanwhile, the Dragonair rushed towards Ducati in a dragon rush, causing him to fly backward. His legs were weak as he struggled back up to stand, his breath coming in harsh pants. "Go for a revenge!" Hopefully his lowered health would help him gain an edge against the creature. He rushed forward and swung his large horn, trying to use his revenge to end the battle for good. Harley watched carefully, wondering what other pokemon she had on her. Ducati didn't look like he was going to last much longer... this was bad. He could be screwed if she had another fire type on her.

Shae scowled she had not expecting the man to send out a flying pokemon to match her pidgeot. Luckily Noah had a head start and came FLYing down to attack the crobat on its way up. The samurott hit Paisley with revenge and it seemed that the damage of the water pokemon's attack paired with the curse earlier set by the gengar. Paisley roared shaking his head in pain, it was obvious that the dragonair also wasn't going to last much longer.
"Quit whining, attack," Shae shouted at Paisley. The dragon pokemon snapped to attention, still obviously weak, he swung his tail at the samurott. Using the last bit of adrenaline Paisley attempted to SLAM the water pokemon. Shae knew that would be the last out ouf Paisley so see readied another pokeball as she waited to see the outcome of the attack.

Paisley was weak, the last attack had taken all he had left, Shae knew it too. There was no point forcing her pokemon to keep attack until it killed it's self. "That's enough Paisley," she returned the dragonair and tossed another pokeball into the air. Releasing her deino, Jude. "Quickly," Shae called to her next dragon pokemon as he roared as if to introduce himself. The dragon charged in with a DRAGON RUSH before his trainer could say much else.
Up in the sky it seemed that the flying pokemon were fighting their own battle. Not that Shae really minded, the further away from her that bat was the happier she would be. The crobat hit Noah hard with cross poison. Luck for the bird is only did physical damage and he quickly retailiated with a WING ATTACK, swooping in close to the bat Noah attempted the hit the creature with his large wings.
Shae broke her stare from the battle for but a moment, noticing the man was looking at her. At first she didn't think anything of it, she too liked to eye up her opponents, judge if they were weak. But no, this man seemed to be looking at her with more thought in his eyes than just sizing her up. "What is it, Horton was it?" the captain smirked. "Has my beauty forced you into a trance?" the woman snickered to herself, turning her attention back to the battle.

The Dragonair fainted, but out came a new Pokemon -- perfect! The dragon rush easily did Ducati in, making Harley send out his next pokemon with an eager grin. "Tomberlin!" The Scrafty practically flew forward, his hands flying up high in a brick break to try and damage the dark type before it had a chance to retaliate. Harley smirked, hoping that his precious Tommy would hold out in the battle. He was confident in his Scrafty's abilities, and this would be perfect for him to test out the fighting type's abilities.
In the air, Solex was thrown backwards from the wing attack -- she did her best to regain her lost ground, lurching forward before freezing. She sent out waves in a strange beam, the confuse ray aimed right at the Pidgeot to try and throw him off of her trail.
She spoke, making Harley's eye twitch a little at the name. "Funny indeed," he said, putting his hands on his hips. "Although you're quite striking, I can't help but think I've seen you before... do you happen to be a captain?" He'd get her back for the name thing... somehow. He couldn't help but smile, though. At least she was playful and not some serious sad-sack wanting the bounty held over his head.

Watching closely as her deino took out the samurott Shae listened the the man speak. Ahh, so he recognized her? Having trouble placing her face, she sneered. "Who me? Oh no, why would you think me to be a captain," her voice was in mock surprise as if he shouldn't have guessed such a horrible thing. The new dark pokemon had a secret weapon it seemed, charging in at her deino the pokemon hit with a brick brake. Ouch, that wasn't going to feel very pretty at all. The dragon roared, not waiting for orders from his captain the deino snapped at the scrafty's arm with a FIRE FANG.
The confuse ray was an unexpected attack, hitting Noah in the face the bird felt dizzy. The pidgeot immediately started plumeting downward, the bird had enough sense to open his wings and catch himself in the air. Unfortunately with how fast he had been falling the impact of his wings opening actually hurt, rather than chase the bat Noah decided to regroup and flew closer to the ground.

Harley laughed at her mocking tone, giving off a scoff and a roll of his eyes. "Well, forgive me, then! I suppose my viewing of your arrogant airs just screamed captain to me, apologies ma'am." He gave a mocking bow, not unlike her curtsy earlier, grinning all the while. He was feeling at ease -- his Pokemon were all doing well in battle, and the woman he was battling was challenging and sharp witted. He was perfectly in his element at that moment, flirting while battling was one of his signatures. He watched the Deino rush forward, Tomberlin crying out in irritation and using his tail in a dragon tail to try and knock the creature off of his charred arm.
Solex flew after the Pidgeot as he fell down farther, her wings opening up in another cross poison while the bird tried to regroup. She wasn't very cautious, Harley noted. She seemed to rush into things far too easily, taking after her trainer. This could bode badly for her if the Pidgeot had a trick up his sleeve...

It was refreshing to be around someone with such smooth words, "well aren't you the perfect gentleman." Shae mused over his mocking bow, "obviously you are a well bred aristocrat." The woman scoffed keeping her eye on the battle all the while.
Deino was hit with the dragon tail and took off instantly, the attack hurt and he had already been damaged badly by the brick brake. Shae returned the dark dragon to its pokeball and tossed another in the air, a charizard came bursting out of the pokeball and instantly went for the attack. Landing very close to the scrafty Juliette attempted a MEGA KICK, the fire pokemon was never the friendliest and it was obvious by the fierce look on her face.
Noah looked over his shoulder, hearing the bat come closer and soon felt it too as he was hit with a cross poison. Turning to face the bat he attack with an AERIAL ACE. His head still felt dizzy but he had managed the attack through the confusion, his success on made him more confident that he was the better flying pokemon.

Another hearty laugh escaped his lips, and he had to take a few breaths before speaking again in order to calm down. "Aren't you sharp? Yes, aye, I've come to take you away. I'm part of that damned aristocracy, you're going to jail now." He snickered again at the ridiculousness, running a hand through his black hair. "Aren't you just the comedian. What extraordinary manners!"
He sighed and took a step back, watching with halfhearted satisfaction as the deino fell. Out came a Charizard next, the creature using a mega kick on his Scrafty. Tomberlin crossed his arms in front of him to help block the hit's power. Thankfully, the normal type attack wasn't as effective as it could have been on him. As the Charizard's foot came in contact with his arms, he lurched forward with his jaws open wide to try and crunch on the creature's leg.
Solex felt the aerial ace hit her on the back, causing her to flutter forwards. Augh, that had hurt! Two could play at that game! She flew forward with nimble speed, using acrobatics to her advantage to try and land the final blow. Damn bird, she would show him who was the best flier in the skies.

Shae smiled sweetly batting her eyelashes, "well of course my manners would amaze most." Waving her hand as if making a grand announcement the woman continued, "my mother raised me to be a proper lady after!" The last statement was true at the very least, not that she would admit it to most of her pirate acquaintances. Being born an aristocrat wasn't something someone bragged about, not while captaining a ship.
The crunch of the scrafty's bite dug into Juliette's leg, the fire pokemon was no please. She was a lady, not a chew toy for some ragged dark type. Quite angry with the creature Juliette let out a bellowing roar sending a stream of fire blaring toward the scrafty with FLAMETHROWER. That would teach the damn thing to bite her pretty leg!
Happy to have hit the bat Noah turned to make his way even closer to the ground, he hadn't expected the bat to flip around in the air. Knocked from a direction he didn't even think the bat would be coming from he began falling toward the ground again, he fell hard and unconscious. Shae returned the pokemon cursing under her breath, she would have to ask this man again who he was and why he was so tough. Looking up the woman saw the bat and squirmed a bit, God she hated those creatures. She tossed her last pokeball at the bat hoping to get her pokemon close enough to it that the attack would work.
Kole the krookodile came bursting from his pokeball trying to attack the crobat with a very angry RETALIATE. After the reptiles attempt at battle he plopped back down on the grown with a very loud thud making the ground almost shake.
