Nauisca Wind Valley always intrigued Robert -- the way the hills were positioned just right so that a constant breeze flew through the valley between them, how everything seemed to exude the spirit of spring... it was all intriguing, and it made him want to figure out what made it all tick. That was how he worked, he functioned by figuring out how other things did. Although, after a long time of taking notes and creating new "toys" for Harley's use, he felt that he deserved a break from learning. So there he sat, in the very center of the valley, his eyes lifted up to the sky while letting the wind blow through his hair. Next to him sat Saturn, his Slowking.
You seem preoccupied, the creature stated through his telepathy, staring at him with a soft smile on his face. Rob looked over at him and gave a bit of a shrug, looking back up at the sky. "Preoccupied with relaxing." The smile grew slightly as he flopped back into the grass, staring straight up at the clouds. It was nice to spend some time alone with his Pokemon. There was far less bustle and stress with them compared to humans. Humans tended to make him nervous... little did he know that a human was just about ready to make their way into his otherwise calm day.

To be frank, Remy was in one of his moods for the day. He did not at all enjoy the fact that he was being forced to get off of his ship to do something as lowly as mere 'shopping', but he did have to admit that he was the slightest bit curious as to what the ground would feel like underneath his heavy feet. When was the last time he even touched the ground? The captain frankly couldn't even remember and he would have likened himself to have a fairly decent memory.
And, of course, Remy ended up getting lost within a matter of minutes and somehow wound up at some valley he couldn't possibly be bothered to remember. Where was he? It was all so ...familiar. Well, whatever, to his luck, there happened to be a person smack dab in the middle of the location with some sort of pokemon beside him. Huh, maybe he could get some directions. While his ego certainly didn't appreciate the asking of directions, his conscience was fairly eased due to the stranger's relatively harmless appearance so, with somewhat careless decision, he strode over as he usually did.
"Hey, you! Tell me where I am-- I mean," remarked Remy, as if he suddenly remembered his manners, "Uh, pardon me, sir, but might you tell me where the nearest ..." What was he looking for again? Ah, yes! "I was looking for some sort of shop? Do you happen to know if there's one nearby?"

The sudden barking of another male's voice made Robert sit up straight almost automatically. He blinked blearily at the man before biting his lip, tilting his head to the side. "Um..." He felt as if he had just gotten a large amount of whiplash, the man having first commanded him before softening his tone. He rubbed his forehead and winced, looking around. "Shop, sir? There isn't a shop here for miles if at all... you're on the completely wrong island for such a thing." He frowned a little and looked over at Saturn, who was staring at the man intently.
You must be Captain Baudelaire.
It had taken a lot of energy for Saturn to use his psychic ability to figure out who he was... but then again, the man exuded command and confidence. Rob blinked a little again and gave his Slowking a hard stare. "Are you certain...? Don't make accusations if you're not positive," he mumbled with a bit of a scold.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

From the corner of his eye, the captain noticed the man's posture suddenly straighten: a suspicious trait. What could that possibly mean? Well, it must've meant that the man was in contact with an authoritative figure of some sorts and, by the looks of things, he wasn't well-used to sudden orders. Still, it didn't seem like the man happened to deduce who he personally was yet, which was ...good-ish. Perhaps a bit insulted, but regardless-- wait, what?
"...What!? I'm on the wrong island!?" A loose swear slipped his lips before shaking his head furiously. "Really? Are you sure? I could've sworn I had the right--" Oops, nearly revealed his identity. That would've been ...bad, right? ...Was that bad? What was so bad about letting everybody know who he was? It would be an honor for them to know the great Remy Baudelaire!-- Oh, right. Conversation. "Oh, am I bothering you, by chance? I'd hate to disturb a gentleman such as yourself," he tipped his hat in respect.
...What. Did that pokemon just accurately deduce who he was? Hm, Remy'd personally never saw anything like it before, but it must've been some sort of psychic type. "Baudelaire?" he questioned, "Can't say I've heard of the fellow. Whoever he is, he must be tall, dark, and handsome with oozing sex appeal and ladies all around him at all times, don't you think?"

Robert winced once more as the man went into a rage, shifting just barely in his spot in the grass. "Positive. You're on Cirinus now... Marcossa is the island that carries most of the shops. If there was one here... it wouldn't be for miles. That's a long way on foot." Rob sighed a bit after that, wondering if his captain would let him bring the man along to drop him off at where he needed to be. Of course, Rob was nowhere near suspicious of the figure, his naivety making him oblivious to what potential dangers the man could be storing. His face turned a very soft red at the compliment, immediately shaking his head. "No! No, not at all." What was he supposed to say? Call him one back? What if that offended him? Oh, social situations, why were they so complex? He would be able to discover how anything and everything worked, save for the human psyche. He just couldn't deduce why people would get offended at something and not offended at another.
As the man spoke, Rob shot a bit of a look at Saturn. "See? Don't go throwing accusations around like that or you could get in--" Saturn stood and waved a paw in his face to shut him up before looking back to Remy. Yes, he must. He also must not have a clue how to actually legally buy goods around here~
he said with a grin, striding over to the man. He was about as tall as his mid-thigh including his elegant Shellder crown, so he was still forced to look up at him. "Saturn, please." Rob frowned a bit more and bit his lip, looking up at the mystery male. "I apologize, Saturn just doesn't know when to stop." The Slowking chuckled a bit and looked over his shoulder. And Robbie doesn't know when to take a joke from a captain~[/blockquote][/blockquote]

...Cirinus? How in the world did Remy end up on Cirinus? Well, maybe if he had a proper navigator, he'd be on the right island. "Spectacular. Cirinus. Well, no matter. If you could so kindly point the way, I would forever be in your debt, good sir." Remy gave a little devious wink when he could observe the soft flush that tinted the other's face, but for what reason? Well, at least, he wasn't bothering the poor man. "What a relief. I appreciate your time and sincere efforts," beamed the captain. Whoever said he couldn't be charming?
Remy could only grin. "Touche, you psychic pokemon. I like you, but really, I could only dream of becoming such an excellent pirate." Ah, well. At this rate, he was going to be found out in a matter of seconds. The man really seemed to have no idea who he was, but the pokemon certainly seemed to know. Maybe next time he'd wear a disguise. Yeah, that seemed to be a better idea.
Still smiling, he stuck a hand out to shake. "Oh, it's no matter at all. Name's, uh ...Jack. Jack ...Daniels. Ridiculous, I know. Father named me when he was drunk, I think. May I inquire your name, most helpful sir?"
